WORK EXPERIENCE

Art Teacher, Abiqua Academy, July 2022 - present

  • Designed and implemented a carefully thought-out art curriculum for grades 5th-12th that aligns with National Core Arts Standards.

  • Organize and curate student art exhibits to showcase their artistic achievements to the school community and parents.

  • Collaborate with faculty members to create cross-curriculum learning opportunities for students in English and Science. 

  • Design and guide students in creating three collaborative art pieces to be sold at the school's annual auction. 

Gallery Intern, Salem on the Edge Gallery, August 2021 - January 2022

Assisted with monthly exhibition installation and de-installation, researched potential artists to be shown in the gallery, interpreted artwork for visitors, and aided in creating social media content.

Archives Intern, Willamette University, 2020 - present
Curating an online exhibition detailing the activism and accomplishments of Native American and environmental activist, Chuck Williams, using the materials from the Chuck Williams collection; Organizing and cataloging photos, and various pieces from Willamette University's collection.

Scanning documents and books used for Dr. Susik's doctoral thesis; digitizing books and articles on surrealism artists aiding in Dr. Susik's research.
